On a hot day I was hoping to escape the heat by gaining some altitude. I succeeded only partially, 2000m was not quite enough but it helped.
Starting from Solalex it is a pretty walk up the valley to the refuge Giacomini. This time around I started early which allowed to continue after a short stop at the refuge to make my way to the Col de Poreyrette. By then the sun had caught up with me and it was time to turn around to avoid being slow cooked.

This is the road up to the refuge. To the right the peaks, Chaux Ronde, Culan and later the Diablerets
Reaching the plateau of the refuge the peaks to the south become visible.
Leaving the refuge and looking back one gets a splendid view of the Culan, Diablerets massive.
