The short excursion today took me into the surroundings of the Lake Hongrin water reservoir. I had seen it many times before but only from afar and so far I never made it down into the valley and to the lake. Today`s short drive was just exploratory and some longer walks will have to follow.
The lake is in the Parc Gruyère surrounded only by forests and some pastures with a view small farms sprinkled in between. Surprisingly, there were hardly any tourists or hikers. This is probably due to the fact that there is no village, train or bus nearby.
The weather was pretty, but also pretty boring. The landscape lacked drama which explains why the few pictures that I took, have a post card quality. I call that eye candy. They are pleasent at first but leave no lasting impression.

Both pictures take on a different mood in black and white. But, to be honest, I did not put much effort into the black and white conversion. So I share them just for completeness sake.

As mentioned above, I shall return, and hopefully that will result in more compelling images.
