The first time I walked the Gorges du Chauderon, it was a pleasant downhill stroll from my house to Montreux. As it turned out, I had the trail almost entirely to myself — just me and a dog. It’s always an incredible walk, whether in rain, fog, or like today, under sunny skies. The sun rarely reaches the depths of the gorge. It’s so narrow that only a few rays manage to break through. The path winds across narrow bridges, skirts steep drops, and passes several waterfalls. Now, in spring, flowers are blooming and everything is coming back to life in a burst of green. Eventually the trail ends in Montreux’s old town — the perfect spot for a coffee before catching the train back home. Below is today’s photographic bounty.

And one more frow two days ago, our view from the Col de Jaman down the Saane valley with the Bernese Alps in the distance.

Awesome B&W images! I enjoyed seeing them.
