This year good old winter arrived a day before Christmas. His timing was impeccable.The temperatures dropped well below zero and close to two feet of pure powder snow sculpted and decorated the valley.
I could not take full advantage of it, last minute preparation for Christmas prohibited a longer excursion, but even a short walk to the other side of our valley was a fairy tale experience. Narnia came to mind.
